All participants will learn about the various business types one can set up and operate. They will learn the reasons for each type of business and how to apply that information for their particular situation. Participants will learn how to and when to file taxes for their business, how to get a bank account and the nuances behind being organized and compliant with CRA.

If a participant chooses to be ab entrepreneur in stone & brick masonry, he/she must understand how to raise capital in order to be prepared to get work. This training will include and introduction to writing a business plan and a list of places to get loans from for small businesses.

Some of the participants may want to take an advanced approach to building a business and look towards scaling their operation to one that has employees and multiple jobs. For these entrepreneurs the program will teach them best practices for scaling their business. Lessons will include accounting, hiring and how to leverage resources.
